Fly weekends, train with members, and learn the rhythm of real club soaring.
TSS operates from Garner Gliderport near Windsor, VA on weekends and some weekdays throughout the year. Flight instruction is free to members, launches are by aero-tow, and normal operations begin at 9:00 AM and continue until dusk.
Garner Gliderport is owned by the Tidewater Soaring Foundation and includes a well-maintained grass strip, two hangars, a club office, and a multipurpose room.

Members have access to club-owned sailplanes, tow operations, instruction, and a year-round aviation community.

The Tidewater Soaring Foundation offers annual scholarships for ages 14 to 22, including instructional flights, study materials, and temporary club and SSA membership.
